Ian Potter Museum of Art Interdisciplinary Public Forum
The Ian Potter Museum of Art Interdisciplinary Public Forums feature a range of our academic colleagues from the University of Melbourne alongside contributions by creative practitioners, proposing art-making as a form of knowledge creation alongside other academic fields of inquiry.
Each forum in this ongoing, annual series seeks to address a pressing theme of our time from interdisciplinary perspectives, presenting these to a broad audience in a discursive space that is facilitated by the museum as a fulcrum for the intersection of art and creative practice with multiple and diverse disciplines and ways of thinking.
Forums to date have explored the themes of WATER, LANGUAGE, MACHINE, CARE and CONSENT.
A publication series documents and expands upon these public-facing forums.
