Programs at the Medical History Museum

The Medical History Museum exhibition program is based on the themes of discovery and professional practice. Through social history and scientific themes in the realm of the health sciences is examined. The Medical History Museum exhibitions and objects are involved in a range of courses at the University of Melbourne across Faculties. They include the Knowledge, Learning and Culture breadth subject, Melbourne Graduate School of Education; an introductory subject for Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation students and a pilot study for M.D. students from the Melbourne Medical School. Other educational institutions have included the museum in their programs; the Deakin University Museum Studies course and various courses including the creative writing course at RMIT.
