New display of permanent collection opens at the Grainger Museum

A new display of the permanent collection at the Grainger Museum showcases the design and construction of the physical Museum building and the creation of the exhibits and displays by Percy and Ella Grainger in the 1930s through to the 1950s.

The new display includes striking costumes from the collection, blueprints and plans of the architecture of the Museum, and a plethora of ‘everyday’ objects from the domestic and personal collection, among many other objects and images. Moving image footage is also showing, including publicity film of Percy Grainger dating from the 1920s, and digitised Super8 film of Ella Grainger visiting the Museum in 1967.
